Planning
Planning a homeschool day is not always the easiest.
I have set up a lesson plan guide for at home for offline education and with Discovery and MIT for education online. Field trips, library and socializing have all been scheduled or penciled in.
I hope this is the best answer for my son. I fear every day that this or something I do or don't do will effect his outcome in a bad way. As confident as I am about homeschooling I still don't know if this is the right step but to do nothing only leaves him open to fail and that is not an option. I want my son to do and to be anything he wants to be. Our oldest son once said he wanted to be a fire truck and we said ok be a fire truck and he did. I don't think we should limit our children just because they think differently or act a little different from other children. It's a matter of finding how or what they connect to and using everything we can to help them. Even if I fail, the time we will get to have with each other will be priceless. We have a lot of work to do but we will do it as a family. Faith, Love, and Family.

Math and Autistic children.
I will update this as I go. This will hopefully at a minimum be a place for other parent's to at least start.
here is an article on the subject of math and Autism.

I don't believe in Creationism!!!! The hardest part.
Curriculum,
Curriculum; Can be the hardest part of homeschooling.
Curriculum; Can be the hardest part of homeschooling.
I have searched and searched for a non-creationist curriculum with no luck.
Finally after day's and day's of research, I found this site.
http://www.discoveryeducation.com/
Wow! I am so happy I found this site and now I've got a lot of tools to teach him with.
This site will not replace teaching him but it will greatly supplement his day's.
Homeschooling Dad
So it starts.
My son is in the public school system and it's failing him. As a fifth grader, he is now at or just below grade level on most subjects. Thanks to the work our family has been doing to help him. Unfortunately, he is behind in math as most children like him can be. We talked to the school and they are doing what he needs this year as for next year that's where the issue is. The Middle school he would have been going to is not a good learning environment for kids not on the spectrum let alone kids on it. We have had three children already go to this school, so I am basing this information from our history with this school not anyone else's opinion.
This should read The New Old School.
